Turn Off the Projector After Use

Physically animated dust, hair and grain upon hand processed 16mm film dance with the glitches of the digital age to the sounds of a cello. ‘Turn Off the Projector After Use’ is an exploration of the paradigm shift in media away from film towards digital technology and language.



To make this film I had a device made so I could contact print dust and hair onto 16mm film in a dark room. A diagram of the printing device is below:
